Marlo Hampton Wore Balenciaga Toe Sock Bootie Shoe Trend

Oops, she did it again. Marlo Hampton has once again proven that no there’s no fashion trend too tricky or luxury purchase too hard to find to keep her from slaying on the regular. The Real Housewives of Atlanta friend has taught us her high fashion ways whether she’s matching her Rolls Royce to her outfit (as one does) or rocking a hand-painted Chanel handbag. But in a recent Instagram post, Marlo made a convincing case for one of the season’s most elusive accessories. 

“If you bet on Marlo, you better double down,” Marlo coyly captioned her photo on December 7 as she posed in a pair of classic, black leggings, a sleek, black, cropped turtleneck and a cheery Anya Hindmarch vest with smiling, fur-trimmed pockets. Naturally, Marlo didn’t disappoint in the accessory department. She paired her sporty ensemble with a petite Balenciaga shopper tote and one of the most perplexing shoe styles of 2020 — the Balenciaga Toe Sock Bootie ($1,290). 

The Balenciaga booties in question include individual, rubberized toe sections with a suspension heel and fitted sock. The five finger design with a rugged sole looks like it was made for bounding along a riverbank or battling rocky terrain but with a luxury label twist.
